Romain Gandolphe / Every secret has a holder and Thomas Geiger / I want to become a millionaire

The Fondation d’entreprise Ricard is proposing for the fourth year in a row, a performance
program curated by Christian Alandete for Jeune Création on the afternoon of Sunday, July 9. Partition (Performances) is a program conceived as an open seminar on artistic practices
drawing upon references and/or methodologies of fields other than art. Ongoing performances, from 4 pm till 7pm.

In economics, exchange is the contractualization of a transfer of goods between two parties. Both performances propose to redefine the terms of this exchange.
Romain Gandolphe with Every Secret has a holder invites each visitor to trust him with a secret that he will pass to someone else without the latter knowing the identity of its owner. Thus, everyone carries the secret of another.
The art market was built on the principle of a large gap between supply and demand, prioritizing the decline in the number of works, thus cutting off from the mass-market.
Thomas Geiger with I want to become a millionaire proposes to reverse this trend by producing one million works at the lowest price on the market.

Romain Gandolphe (born 1989; lives and works in La Ratayrié, France)
Artist-researcher within the program Post-Performance Future, directed by Marie de Brugerolle at Ensba Lyon.
After studying mathematics, Romain Gandolphe educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon. His artistic practice is mainly centered on speech. Whether he describes works that only exist in his head or invites visitors to a phantom exhibition whose works exist only by the description of the guide, the artist evokes as much the memory of past exhibitions as the potential imaginary of visitors. He has shown his performances at the Salon de Montrouge, at the Do Disturb festival of the Palais de Tokyo, at the Magasin de Grenoble and at the Playground Festival of the Musée M, Leuven

He is the initiator of The Festival of Minimal Actions, a festival dedicated to ephemeral actions in public space and Kunsthalle3000, an institution as intervention in public space.
