The figure of the "curator" is decisive in the system of contemporary art. For that reason, the Fondation d'entreprise Ricard invites young curators to organize collective exhibitions every year as part of a broader ambition to support the art scene in all its diversity and accompany its development as closely as possible.
In order to continue dialoging and exchanging with curators and art critics, the Fondation has decided to provide a networking tool for curators on its website, as well as a database on the careers and projects of these young exhibition organizers. The new section is notably intended for art professionals (directors of institutions and biennial events, gallery owners, etc.), but is more generally open to everyone interested in keeping up to date with the most recent evolutions of the art world.

As part of regular invitations it extends to young exhibition curators, the Fondation d'entreprise Ricard is continuing its support to the Young Curators Invitational (YCI) in partnership with the Le Journal des arts. The program brings young exhibition curators from all over the world to Paris on the proposal of an international jury.

To celebrate its 10th edition, an anniversary publication, edited by cura.books with the support of FIAC, Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and the Institut français, presents this exceptional program of meetings and exchanges between international curators and their approach on the French art scene. This publication brings together texts by young French curators and YCI participants (Tessa Giblin, Vincenzo de Bellis & Bruna Roccasalva, Mariangela Mendéz, Lorenzo Benedetti, among others).

Within the framework of this programme, the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard and FIAC launch a new cycle of free guided visits, the YCI VISITS! in partnership with the French Institute. The visits was every day at 4pm, starting at the information desk of the Fondation d'entreprise Ricard, in the Grand Palais from Thursday October 20th to Sunday 23rd.

This year, the participants in the YCI programme were selected based on proposals from four exhibition curators whose professional profiles are well established both on the French arts scene and internationally. The patronage of these young foreign curators by established curators will be showcased as conversations, in the form of guided visits of the fair by these curator duos.

Guided by their personal points of view, these personalities from the art world will offer FIAC visitors new perspectives for exploring the galleries and the artworks presented.
